Getting closer

Sorry I missed the team run. I'm in for the 10 mile run in November. We may think about heading up and over Rickenbacker (it's a pain, but you can get some good bridge workouts in while you go up and over).

As Pompa knows, I just purchased a pair of Vibram Five Fingers Treksports yesterday for the event. I've currently done two 1 mile walks and a .5 mile run. My legs are feeling pretty good though I definitely notice the footstrike a lot more and a little additional pressure on my bad knee. Although that was running on hard surfaces. We'll see how that progesses before I make a full commitment to them for race day.

Last week was not a good week for running, got in a 4 miler at the beginning of the week before getting worked out later in the week and washed out on Saturday. I was able to get a ride in on Sunday to at least have something. Starting out this week wasn't looking good. However, I have finished the two worst items on my list and plan to do a little catch up here at the end of the week.

I do have a camelbak but not sure how well that would fair in a tough mudder as it is designed for cycling. I'll go back and look at some of the older videos
