We had a great run this weekend. Now it's time for the final planning. Pompa and I have a hotel room in Melbourne for Friday night. I figure we can caravan from Melbourne over to the event early Saturday morning. We should probably consider where we want to eat/if we want to eat a big group dinner (i.e., the final supper) before our quest. I would recommend some nice pasta.
Next, Pompa has asked that I post the gloves that he has (and I will be getting). They should help on some of the climbing events. The gloves are called Mad Grip Pro Palm(http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Grip-Knuckler-Glove-X-Large/dp/B0040GJ80S/ref=lh_ni_t). You can get them online at the link or at a local hardware store (supposedly they are gardening gloves). Additionally, I know that I had mentioned my calf sleeves the other day. I love them as they keep the lower legs loose and provide a little support. The ones I have are 2XU (http://www.amazon.com/2XU-Unisex-Adult-Compression-Guard/dp/B001UCGDOO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321891108&sr=8-1) but there are a number of other calf sleeves.
Finally, Pompa and I were trying to determine what we would wear for a shirt and if we wanted to have a team shirt. We saw a shirt that we liked at the Under Armor website (http://www.amazon.com/Combine-Compression-Shortsleeve-Under-Armour/dp/B00403XQKO/ref=sr_1_1?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1321891517&sr=1-1 or http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/pid1217473-410) which I also saw at Sports Authority. Pompa and I think the red one would be nice. Make us stand out a little from the mass of people.
Looking forward to demolishing 26 or so obstacles in less than 2 weeks.
Im down for the red shirts. Im probably going a different direction with the gloves though. Any particular color of shorts we should wear?

I don't think the shorts will matter. Mine will probably be gray or black.
ReplyDeleteIt'll be nice to get this event done and over with. Although we could have definitely done more to prepare, I think we've done quite a bit and I am very optimistic about our performance on 12/3.
