Sorry to have been MIA. I have my fair share of excuses for my absence, none of which are worth listing here...oh wait, maybe one...I'm getting married bitches! Congrats to my boy Chino too, who is now getting hitched as well.
Anyway, I've been training very sporadically for a few weeks, but so inconsistently that it feels as if I've done nothing. I have been very good about my diet. Honestly, I've been better about my diet than I have been for any other Tough Mudder, so I'm curious to see how my body changes once I'm in the thick of training. I've lost about 8 lbs so far with very little training, so I'm hoping to be much lighter on my feet this next time around.
I ran 2.5 miles yesterday, my first run in about two weeks. I'm starting CrossFit again, trying to get in Mudder and wedding shape.
Regarding a group training, how does the weekend after Superbowl weekend work for everyone? Does February 8th work for you guys? I'm happy to drive up for one training, but this month it will be tough so I'm hoping we can do a Miami one first. I'm happy to sponsor it at my place or we can meet up near Frankie's if it's easier for those of you guys up north.

Good to see you're still alive homie. I know the wedding/planning aside from your work schedule take up most if not all your time. I'm sure you find moments to hit the restroom from time to time. Max says she wants to know the secret to losing 8lbs. Apparently, that's her goal. I've lost close to that amount, but I've been running about 3 times a week with some exercises and not really dieting, but focusing on portion control. Seems to be working.
ReplyDeleteMui and I have hooked up twice this month for strength training. Next month, Mui will come down here for at least one run focused training session. He should be up to 4 miles by then.
Not sure I'll be able to make the Miami meet. I was trying to get things set up for the last weekend of Feb, (moms bday) and make the trip once, but I think Max has a girls thing going down on the 8th. She'll get back to me on that. We'll talk about it later tonight. I'll try to workout another day if the 8th is taken.
